In the fast-evolving world of autonomous drone technology, every second counts, and every mission requires precision. At FlytBase, we understand the unique challenges that enterprises face when it comes to mission planning and scheduling.

That's why we've listened to your feedback and enhanced our product to offer unparalleled control, flexibility, and efficiency. We're excited to introduce two groundbreaking updates:

  • Dynamic Mission Scheduling: Rapid responses and flexible intervals
  • Improved Mission Planning: Control, customization, and efficiency

Dynamic Mission Scheduler

The Mission Scheduler is tailored for routine operations such as security patrols and regular asset inspections. Previously, the frequency of a mission was set at 15-minute intervals. We've now refined this to flexible 5-minute slots, ensuring timely and consistent surveillance.

This caters to regular flight operations, is crucial in security-sensitive areas, and is vital for thorough and regular inspections of assets, especially those requiring change management. All of this is achieved while significantly reducing human intervention.

The result? Efficient and consistent drone deployments.

What this means for you:

  • Faster responsiveness: Your drones can adapt swiftly to changing conditions or new tasks, perfect for dynamic situations.
  • Enhanced efficiency: Shorter scheduling intervals mean less idle time for your drones, leading to improved overall mission efficiency and quicker task completion.

Improved Mission Planning

Take control like never before with our latest Mission Planning updates. These features allow you to customize drone missions to your exact specifications, ensuring they align precisely with your objectives. From drones to payload configurations, every detail is tailored to your needs. So, what’s new?

  • User-Friendly Interface: This UI transformation not only brings a fresh and modern look but also introduces intuitive design elements, making navigation smoother and interactions more user-friendly.
  • Custom WPML Flow: Easily import and modify WPML files from other applications for swift mission adjustments tailored to your specific needs. This means more flexibility and customization at your fingertips.
  • Altitude Precision: Experience simplified altitude control with the choice between "Above Sea Level (ASL)" and "Above Ground Level (AGL)" modes, tailored to your mission's requirements. This ensures greater altitude accuracy and precision in your missions.
  • Takeoff Altitudes: Choose between "Launch" or "Safe Take-off" modes to match your mission's takeoff strategy. This provides flexibility for different takeoff strategies, ensuring missions start the way you prefer.
  • Advanced Waypoint Types: Define how your drone navigates waypoints with modes like linear paths, transit before waypoints, curved paths, or controlled radii. Every mission is yours to customize, offering adaptability and customization for specific missions.

  • Yaw Control: Customize your drone's heading with options such as "Along Route," "Lock Yaw Axis," or "Manual" modes. This enhances your control over your drone's heading during missions, ensuring it goes and captures data the way you want it to.

  • Payload Configuration: Seamlessly set payload options like Zoom, Wide, or IR mode for your mission, whether it's at the route or specific waypoint level. You have more flexibility to configure the payload you want to use for your missions according to your needs.

  • New Mission Finish Actions: Earlier, "Return to docking station" was the only finish action available; you can now choose from "Exit mission and hover" and "Go to the first waypoint and hover." This added flexibility ensures that missions can conclude in a way that suits your objectives.

  • Grid Mission Optimization: For grid missions, set image capture intervals as brief as 1 second, effectively doubling efficiency compared to the previous 3-second minimum. This means quicker data collection on grid missions, enhancing efficiency and data collection speed.

These updates are designed to transform the way you plan your missions, ensuring you capture aerial data efficiently for your specific workflows. Whether in security and surveillance, asset inspection, or any kind of specialized mission.
